New Feature: Mykonos Real Venue Inspirations We must get at least a handful of emails every week, from couples who want a destination wedding in the Greek islands- yet they are undecided on which one fits them best.  There are so many reasons why couples choose to get married abroad: mainly to be able to enjoy this important day in their lives without losing their mind. Check out previous tips here and here. Greece is filled with little island jewels nestled in the middle of the Aegean sea, each one with its own strong character, delicious local cuisine, amazing beach landscapes and various fun activities to do. Some of them are yet untouched by tourism; you may find yourself  wondering on a mini pathway and still be invited by an old lady for a traditional island treat. Greek weddings used to be pretty traditional as in the true sense of the movie my big Fat Greek wedding, however I have to admit they have done some catching up on the latest trends. We have decided to present you with real wedding inspirations or styled shoots in a new feature- Real Venue Inspirations which will present to you once a month.  These features will include either our own clients, or other styled shoots or pictures of real weddings or venues shared by our great vendors/partners. This will be a great opportunity for our readers to get to see Real Grecian Inspirations. The first island I wanted to share with you is Mykonos, which is so close to Santorini (were our main office is based).  Mykonos is a real cosmopolitan island in its true sense, full of picturesque landscapes, white sandy beaches, idyllic windmills and white washed chapels offset by terracotta colors (Terracotta characterizes many Cycladic islands such Andros and Naxos) and last but not least some of the trendiest restaurants, bars, hotels, and shops in the Mediterranean.

Mykonos is known for its luxurious hotels, spectacular villas, great night life, beautiful beach bars and taverns and so many more.

My favorite sport when visiting Mykonos is going to mini picturesque sandy beaches with a boat and get on the look out for fresh sea urchins or limpets while swimming.

Additional events you may enjoy with your guests is a boat trip worth visiting in the near by island of Delos so unique and picturesque while enjoying Greek traditional mezedes and ouzo on board or a next wedding day brunch filled with luxurious breakfast to compensate for the late night festivities. The first real wedding  we are presenting took place on a beach restaurant, filled with hanging candlelights, white orchids and details of olive branches giving it an ethereal atmosphere right on the beach.

The second wedding took place on a chapel that was found a tiny near by island right next to Mykonos.  The reception was celebrated in one of Mykonos most famous beach bar restaurants.  Stella was a guest attending and took some pictures with the use of her iphone.  I had to share this amasingly beautiful tiny island chapel with you!  All guests were transferred by private boats! Mykono Chapel   With Louis Vuitton already welcoming the "return" of summer in Mykonos and Channel soon opening its doors there are more excuses for an ultimate getaway or a Cosmopolitan fete!
